8 Reasons have sex on First Date is a bad idea
There are a lot of reasons why having sex on a first date is a bad idea. You haven’t had time to get to know each other which means there’s usually minimal foreplay and little sexual chemistry. You’re also likely to regret it and you’re putting your health at risk so you need to think twice before making the wrong decision.
1) You seem easy
Having sex on a first date will make you seem easy and your partner is going to think you don’t respect yourself and will wonder how many other people you’ve been with. They will also see you as a sex object instead of a person they can build a serious relationship with.
2) Lack of sexual chemistry
There’s a difference between sexual desire and sexual chemistry. Anyone can have sexual desire because it’s the need for sex but sexual chemistry requires you to feel an emotional connection with the other person. Without sexual chemistry sex will be awkward and there won’t be any feelings involved so you’re going to feel distant from them.
3) Lack of foreplay
Since you’ve only just met you haven’t had a chance to learn what your partner enjoys in bed. Instead it’s going to feel more like you a chore you need to do in order to get what you.
4) Loss of sex appeal
Once you’ve had sex you lose some of your sex appeal because you’re no longer a fantasy that they can’t stop thinking about. They know what you’re like in bed so there’s no anticipation building and you don’t get to enjoy the playful teasing that comes with playing hard to get.
5) Exposure to STI’s
Talking about your STI status isn’t something you do on a first date so you won’t know if they have one or not. You’re putting yourself at risk if you have sex with them because you might be so excited that you forget to use a condom or the condom could break. It’s better to wait until you’re able to have an honest conversation with them.
6) Regret
You might regret it the next day because without a feeling of love it won’t feel real. It’ll feel meaningless and you’re going to be wondering if you’ll see them again. You haven’t known them long enough to know how strong the attraction is and you might realize that you don’t actually like them and were only attracted to the idea of being with someone new.
7) Doing it for the wrong reasons
If you’ve just had a breakup then you might have sex as a way of dealing with those emotions. By having sex for the wrong reasons you’re going to make things worse and will end up feeling frustrated or depressed because the problems aren’t getting fixed.
8) More pressure, less love
There might be an expectation of sex, especially if you met on a hookup site like AdultFriendFinder Review, which makes you feel pressure. You’ll feel like you don’t have the option to take things slow and this will stop you from starting the relationship in a healthy way, like by getting to know them.
